Tiger Woods To Send Relief Plane to Haiti?

by Guest Contributor Peter Stenson

Tiger Woods returns to the spotlight – this time in the name of humanitarian goodness as it is rumored that Woods is financing a cargo plane to act as a mobile hospital to earthquake-devastated Haiti.

After the public unraveling of Woods’s marriage through a litany of crashed cars and reported infidelities, Woods has taken an indefinite leave from the sport of golf.

Russell Simmons, the fifty-two-year-old fashion and music star, first reported Woods’s donation on his Twitter account. Simmons wrote, “Tiger Woods is doing something amazing! I heard Tiger Woods is donating to send a cargo plane with a mobile hospital. Keep your prayers high!”

There has been no confirmation about this charitable donation from Wood’s camp.

Tiger Woods has ties to Haiti. In July of 2009, in collaboration with the United States Black Golfers Association, Woods agreed to build a signature PGA course on the Haitian Riviera.
