It is Official, Tiger Woods to Return at Masters

Tiger Woods is coming back to the PGA Tour and has chose the grandest stage in golf to do so. He is coming back to an event that he has never missed in his 13 year career. A place where he has won 4 times, amassed 10 top-10 finishes, but has not won since 2005.
Tiger released a statement on his return for Augusta which will take place on April 5-11. According to a statement released by the Woods camp, Tiger said “Even though I am returning to competition, I still have a lot of work to do in my personal life. I have been treated for two months of outpatient therapy.”
Tiger said , “I feel like I am ready to start my season.” “As a professional, Augusta is where I need to be, and I have always respected the Masters.”
Tom Rinaldi of ESPN, who has had a close eye on the situation said today that “Tiger has many chances to compete for and win major championships, but only has one opportunity to return from this.” Rinaldi, who may have been eluding to Ari Fleischer’s influence on the PR effort said that this decision was about “managing the process” of him coming back to the game. Rinaldi said, “The Masters doesn’t bow to anyone. They control the media, control the experience.”
“This is what means the most to him, major championships.” said Rinaldi. “The Masters defines his purpose in golf and in life.”
Tiger, in a written statement expressed his regrets, specifically to Joe Lewis and Arnold Palmer for not playing in the Tavistock Cup or the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill.
