By Brittni Michaelis

Ben Roethlisberger, star quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, has been suspended for up to six games by the NFL and Commissioner Roger Goodell for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.

By terms of the suspension, Roethlisberger must also receive a behavioral evaluation and if Goodell sees progress in Big Ben the suspension could be reduced to four games. It is reported that if Roethlisberger fails to undergo the evaluation, Goodell could increase the suspension.

Big Ben who has been linked to a series of legal troubles within the past two years will reportedly not contest the suspension. Goodell who met with Roethlisberger last week in New York, has expressed his disappointment with Ben in a letter. He goes onto say, “In your six years in the NFL, you have first thrilled and now disappointed a great many people. I urge you to take full advantage of this opportunity to get your life and career back on track.”

Ben who has twice been accused of sexual assault was recently cleared of all charges in an incident that happened in Georgia in which a 20 year-old college student accused him of rape. However, a woman who claims Roethlisberger assaulted her back in 2008 in a hotel is still suing the quarterback.

While it comes as a big blow to many Steeler fans, I would not worry too much. The Steelers are looking to shop around their franchise quarterback in order to move up in the draft order and to restore their image.

Art Rooney II, the Steelers president, said today, “I agree with and support the decision the commissioner made today.” The Steelers look to be continuing on with the possibility of Roethliberger not wearing a black and yellow uniform next year. Byron Leftwich, was acquired by the Steelers on Tuesday from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for a seventh round draft pick.

The NFL and the Steelers were not pleased when the case details came to late during Roethlisberger’s latest encounter with the law. While some think the suspension is too stiff and others think it’s too lenient, the bottom line is Ben Roethlisberger might have played his last game as the Pittsburgh Steelers starting quarterback.

According to former SportsCenter anchor and current Entertainment Tonight reporter, Kevin Frazier, Woods’ marriage to former supermodel Elin Nordegren is over. The two are reportedly in talks to be finalizing the divorce, though no one has retained a lawyer, it is only a matter of time says several sources.

The new Nike commercial that featured Woods’ late father, the revelation that Woods slept with his neighbor’s young daughter as well as his quick return to golf, did not sit well with Nordegren who is extremely upset according to reports.

Nordegren who skipped the Masters tournament altogether even though Tiger rented out a house for her and their kids, was so upset about the Nike commercial, which is what many believe sent her over the edge.

According to People Magazine, “Elin was violently angry over this commercial and thought it was a cheesy thing to do. She wouldn’t have gone near the Masters under any condition, but that just made her madder. She is over Tiger. I wouldn’t be surprised if she files for divorce sometime soon. She’s so far beyond hurt now. If she were angry or if she hated him, they might still have a chance to work it out. But she’s beyond that. She’s numb. She just doesn’t care anymore. She’s like, ‘Whatever.’ Elin’s not the type to get all weepy or have pity parties for herself. She mourned the loss of this marriage, and now she’s moving on. It’s the only thing she can do.”

In the mean time, Woods has submitted papers to participate in the U.S Open, June 17-20 in California.

Ochocinco is never one to disappoint, which is why so many people love him, including me. While he and his partner Cheryl Burke were one of the first couples safe on last nights episode, Chad got so excited that he leaned in for a kiss with fellow safe contestant and former Bachelor, Jake Pavelka, but he didn’t reciprocate.

The judges who normally have harsh words for mother of eight, Kate Gosselin, were surprisingly nice to her last night congratulated her for performing her best dance yet. They also stated that former Baywatch babe, Pamela Anderson, would “look sexy mopping a floor” if only we could all be so lucky. Congrats Pam for a great performance.

Despite Andrews and Chmerkovskiy’s shoddy tango performance, the duo was safe and moves onto the next round.

Next week is “Movie Night” and I can only hope Ochocinco will thrill me with another dramatic and hilarious performance.

Ochocinco and Andrews have survived through two rounds of eliminations on this season’s Dancing With The Stars and with each episode, the two of them are getting better and better. The latest cast off was astronaut Buzz Aldrin, despite Kate Gosselin’s two straight weeks of living in the judges basement. Thankfully, our favorite superstars managed to survive.

Andrews along with partner and rumored love interest (although she is denying those reports) Maksim Chmerkovskiy, performed the Waltz and received a score of 23 out of 30. The couples first dance only got them a 21 out of 30 so we continue to see not only obvious sexual chemistry between the two but improvement as well. Despite Andrews receiving death threats, she says she is “not a quitter” and will continue to participate on DTWS.

Ochocinco and his partner, Cheryl Burke, performed the Paso Doble, a Spanish march. Bruno praised Ochocinco for this determination and improvement but believed that at times he still danced like a “crackhead” and was all over the place on the dance floor. Despite that, the duo secured a score of 20 out of 30.The theme behind the dance was that he(Ochocino) wanted her(Cheryl Burke) but she didn’t reciprocate the feelings. Ochocinco, never one to disappoint, make a joke out of it saying, “That sounds familiar…I continue to try but I keep getting rejected.”

Andrews and Ochocinco, who by audience applause and call in voting seem to be everybody’s favorite contestants. Both sports fanatics seems to be improving little by little and I wouldn’t be surprised if the two of them were the last ones remaining, at least that is what I’m hoping for.

Siovaughn Wade, estranged and future ex-wife of Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade, previously claimed in her divorce documents that Dwyane gave her chlamydia, however, a family friend is coming forward and blowing the whistles on the accusation.

According to TMZ, Andrea Williams, a friend of the Wades, “claimed Siovaughn told her she contracted the disease from another man. Williams testified in her depo, Siohvaughn was seeing another man during her marriage — and claims she was present in 2007 when Mrs. Wade accused the boyfriend of giving her the STD.”

Dwyane Wade is also accusing his ex-wife, who he claims intentionally prohibited his son from attending this years NBA All-Star game in Dallas, in which Wade’s team won behind his 28 points. Wade also received the MVP award for his efforts. TMZ is reporting that, Dwyane’s lawyer claims Siohvaughn jock-blocked him by throwing a birthday party for the boy in Wisconsin — 10 days after the boy’s real birthday. According to Wade’s lawyer, James Pritikin, Dwyane actually filed an emergency motion before the game, asking the judge to order his wife to let the boy go to Dallas. but the judge felt the All-Star game was not an emergency.”

This divorce is only going to get nastier. This couple who was once feature on The Life of Basketball Wives, now are throwing elbows in the courtroom.

By Brittni Michaelis

With the Masters just one week away, many are waiting in anticipation to see how Tiger Woods handles the spotlight and just how much his golf game has changed since taking a 3 month leave of absence from golf because of the startling revelations that the golfing great cheated on his wife, supermodel Elin Nordegren, with many, many women.

Betting agencies, office water cooler chatter and even dinner time conversations have revolved around Tiger Woods and recently many people are wonder and even betting on what Tiger’s odds are to win the Masters, arguably the most prestigious golfing spectacle in the world. One man who has doubts about whether or not it can be done? Donald Trump.

Trump recently talked Tiger talk during the screening of his new series, Donald J. Trump’s Wonderful World of Golf that is set to air on the Golf Channel. While Trump believes that Tiger needs to win, don’t count on Trump betting on him. “The most important thing Tiger can do is win right now, It’s an amazing phenomenon. Winning right now is the deal. He’s got to win…which is awfully tough to do. There is so much pressure, but Tiger has always handled pressure better than anybody else. I would think it would be awfully tough because primarily he’s not tournament hardened…I would be amazed if he won because the pressure is so enormous.”

The Donald is right, Tiger Woods will be facing enormous pressure in Augusta next week. He has been in hiding since late November and there are millions of people who are going to tune in to see how the public receives him, but if he is the same Tiger Woods who has won 4 Masters Tournament Championships in the past. As Trump put it, “These could be Super Bowl ratings, people who have never watched golf before are going to be watching the Masters.”

As much as the public was surprised by the cheating allegations that have tattered Woods’ once perfect and flawless image, Trump was equally shocked. “Tiger has been a star from the time he was three years old. He was a prodigy from Day 1. So in a certain way, he’s led a sheltered life. But when this happened I was quite surprised by it.”

Though Trump has doubts in Woods, he still wants to see him succeed. “The one thing you wonder about is when he’s standing over the 3-footer where he hasn’t missed one in two years. Will he have that same level of confidence? I hope he does.”

Millions and I mean millions of people will be tuned into CBS all weekend to catch their first glimpses of Tiger since his world came shattering down. Many will be rooting for him, many will hope his fails. One thing is for certain though, Tiger Woods will be facing a massive amount of pressure when he vies for the coveted green jacket.

Tiger Woods is caught in another scandal. No, it is not another mistress coming forward, but this time it is about a lie that Woods told back in 2005.

According to Woods, his first day of kindergarten was a traumatic one for the young cub. "A group of sixth graders tied me to a tree, spray-painted the word 'n***er' on me, and threw rocks at me. That was my first day of school. And the teacher really didn't do much of anything."

Tiger Woods is caught in another scandal. No, it is not another mistress coming forward, but this time it is about a lie that Woods told back in 2005.

According to Woods, his first day of kindergarten was a traumatic one for the young cub. “A group of sixth graders tied me to a tree, spray-painted the word ‘n***er’ on me, and threw rocks at me. That was my first day of school. And the teacher really didn’t do much of anything.”

However, his kindergarten teacher Ms. Decker, has come forward and said no such thing occurred under her watch. Decker held a press conference today with her lawyer, Gloria Allerd, present and refuted the claims as well as asking for an apology from Woods. “I am asking Tiger for a private and public apology to put my mind at ease and set the record straight.”

Another person is also defending Decker’s story. According to TMZ, “Donald Hill the former principal of Cerritos Elementary School in Cypress, CA, has said he never heard about the incident — where Tiger claimed to have been tied to a tree and the racial epithet spray-painted on his body.”

Tiger’s life certainly has not been easy these days, but if true, now Woods is seen as not only a cheater but a liar and apparently many people have been caught in Tiger’s web.

Mikhail Prokhorov, the 44 year-old Russian billionaire and future New Jersey Nets owner, sat down last night for an interview with Steve Kroft and 60 minutes. The self proclaimed adrenaline junkie and sports addict flew Kroft to his home country of Russia and introduced him to the lifestyle that he is accustom to living.

Prokhorov, whose fortune is to be worth an estimated $17 billion, displayed his home complete with a workout room and built in swimming pool, took Kroft to a Moscow nightclub and invited the crew of 60 minutes to dinner at his house in which guests included Russia’s biggest movie star and a former Russian governor.

The playboy, who has not settled down because he has not found a woman who can cook well enough to his liking, loves sports, food and women. Prokhorov’s advice to women who want to catch his attention? “The way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.”

His purchase of the Nets is expected to be finalized within the next couple of months but in the mean time, Prokhorov has been practicing his English and perfecting his jump-shot. In two year he hopes to move the Nets to Brooklyn which is home to the largest Russian-American community in United States.

Famed Steeler’s wide receiver, Santonio Holmes, is in hot water over an alleged nightclub assault that occurred back on March 7th.

In a lawsuit that was filed in Florida last week, a woman is claiming the former Super Bowl MVP attacked her with a glass bottle at Rain Nightclub in Orlando when she refused to move.

According to TMZ, “…the woman says Holmes began going crazy when she refused to move — so he fired his glass full of liquor at her face … causing a “laceration” very close to her eye…The woman claims she flagged down cops from the Orlando PD but they, along with Santonio, “pressured” her not to press charges. The woman claims Santonio even offered her money because “he was an NFL star and could not get into trouble.”

Whether it be true or not, Santonio Holmes, is in for a big fight. The only thing that seems odd is why did the alleged victim wait three weeks to report the incident?

One thing is for sure. The Pittsburgh Steelers PR department has got to be quite busy right now.

Although prosecutors were seeking a three month jail term, Gilbert Arenas managed to avoid spending time behind bars today and was sentenced to, 30 days in a halfway house, register as a gun offender, two years probation, and 400 hours of community service.

Prosecutors in the case argued that Arenas lied about why the guns were in the locker room to begin with and that he had a prior gun charge brought against him. For those reasons, the prosecution thought a three month jail sentence was fitting.

However, Judge Robert E. Morin, of the D.C Superior Court disagreed and sentenced Arenas to spend time in a halfway house. While the prosecution is surely disappointed, Arenas’ lawyers got a W because they initially asked for probation and community service.

According to ESPN, lawyers for Arenas argued that, “he was playing a misguided joke with no intention to harm anybody…the guns were unloaded, that Arenas’ lighthearted comments about the incident were misinterpreted, and that he’s a good role model who goes beyond the call of duty when it comes to community service. They added he was confused about D.C.’s gun laws, and that he’d already been severely punished through humiliation and the loss of tens of millions of dollars from canceled endorsements and his suspension without pay for the rest of the NBA season.”

The maximum amount of time Arenas could have served for his crime was five years and the guidelines for someone with his record is 6-24 months in jail, but there is leeway room for probation.

Arenas got very lucky today. He could have served time in jail for a prank that people that was funny at the time. Arenas might not be so lucky with fans next time he steps on the court or with future sponsors.
