With MTV’s “Jersey Shore” becoming a nation-wide hit, businesses everywhere are looking to profit from Snooki, “The Situation”, Pauly D’s hair and GTL (Gym, Tan, Laundry). But now, sports fans everywhere can hope and pray for the opportunity to “fist pump” with Ronnie and the rest of the cast at their favorite sporting event.

Sitting in last place in the Eastern conference and having a NBA worst 3-40 record, The New Jersey Nets are in desperation mode. The team is on the verge of moving to Brooklyn. Business is bad. Ticket Sales are anemic.

It appears that the New Jersey Nets are well on their way to moving to Brooklyn. The biggest hurdle in Team Owner Bruce Ratner’s way, was being approved for the $511 million in public financing in the form of government bonds to build their new arena. According to Ratner, “Today’s closing represents a vital step forward for New York City, one that is all the more important because of the economic challenges our city faces,” Mr. Ratner said in a statement.

Somebody needs to give new Russian Nets Owner, Mikhail Prokhorov, a bit of PR Training.

In an interview with SovSport, a Russian sports site, Mikhail Prokhorov talks for the first time about his new team. He admits “sometimes I watch” and chastises the SovSport writer, “I always thought it was bad form to rejoice when someone loses”.
